What We Do

We work both in the UK and overseas.

In the UK our current activities and services include:-

Residential care services for Deaf people with a range of needs.
Residential intensive care services for Deaf people with a high level of needs.
Sign language theatre projects and shows.
Deaf heritage activities and projects.
Deaf cultural activities and projects.
Deaf/sign language arts activities and projects.
Youth services for D/deaf young people living in Lancashire.
Training in BSL and Deaf Awareness for hearing individuals and organisations.
Provision of D/deaf spaces.

Overseas our activities and projects currently focus on two countries, Nepal and Uganda.

In Nepal our current activities and projects include:-
The Shreejana school for Deaf children in Pokhara.
The Navajyoti Deaf primary school for Deaf children in Sindhulimadi.
The ’8 regions’ or ‘Nepali Sign Language, numeracy and literacy project’.
The older Deaf persons’ project in Kathmandu and Kirtipur.

Our work in Uganda is new – in June 2012 we started our first project there:-
St. Anthony’s school for Deaf children near to Nkose.
